Simplicity is the key to the design behind Jofa's FM480 wire shield. The basics are taken care of - the shield is HECC, CSA and CE approved for league play and it will fit almost any helmet on the market (thank you Jofa for changing your design to fit a normal bolt pattern). That is where the 480 takes off to establish itself as possibly the best wire cage on the market. The 480 utilizes a premium wire construction that minimizes weight and delivers great visibility. When you look at the cage, the wires seem noticeably thinner. A new Chrome option optimizes visibility for any lighting situation and makes the wires look even thinner. The chin cup design is a study in simplicity. The cup is attached to the wire of the cage with the straps that hook to the back of the helmet attaching in a separate place on the cage. This keeps the cup centered in the cage all the time and allows you to more easily adjust the tension on the cage without affecting the chin cup alignment. Because the two center vertical wires are welded on with an angle at the top, the cage will fit virtually any helmet on the market. The 480 is one of the most popular upgrades for travel players.
